Surrey (Guildford)

Hours & Wage:

We are looking for 2-4 hour sessions on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with the potential to add alternating Fridays. The ideal hours would be between 9:00am to 1:00pm, however afternoons from 2:30 to 4:30pm are available as well.  The hourly wage is $25.00. Training will be provided

Description:

Our young and busy family is seeking the assistance of one or two reliable and energetic individuals to hire as BIs for our happy and fun-loving 2 year old autistic son. Sessions would take place at his daycare. He loves colouring, blocks, and anything to do with water. He is silly, tons of fun and always puts on a smile on everyone’s face. He is nonverbal so our main goals are communication skills and emotional regulation skills. 

Sessions will be play focused and based in Early Start Denver Model. Training and supervision will be provided by BCBA Melanie Kelemen. There may also be possibilities to receive additional training and collaboration with our team’s OT and SLP.

Location: 

Surrey (Sullivan Heights Area)

Hours:

2 sessions per week. Ideally Tuesdays and Thursdays with a 3pm/3:15pm or 3:30pm start time or Saturdays mornings. Sessions will be 2 hours and you also need to be able to attend team meetings every 6 weeks, which fall on a Monday or Wednesday at 3pm or 3:30pm.

Description:

Looking for enthusiastic, fun, and motivated Behaviour Interventionists for an 10-year-old boy diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our program is intensive and very typical of an ABA program consisting of teaching many skills such as imitation, following instructions, language development and social/play skills. Training will be provided by a board-certified behaviour consultant, Leanne Schiedel. 

The ideal candidate will have a desire to make a difference in a child's life, have great fondness for kids and great passion for their job, a compassionate and patient personality, excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills, strong oral and written communication, open for new learning and suggestions (team player) and have strong play and creativity skills. 

Job requirements include: English fluency, a minimum of 1 year ABA experience (preferred, but not required), criminal record check (within last 12 months), have own transportation, be at least 19 yrs old and be willing to commit for 1 year.

Location: 

South Vancouver

Hours & Wage:

6-8 hours weekly (days and time are flexible). Compensation is $22/ hour and will increase with time and experience. 

Description:

Do you have a caring, positive attitude and willingness to learn? We are looking for someone to assist a teenager with high needs autism during activities and eating. Applicant needs to be fluent in English for training, and provide safe healthcare and reading to the client. Experience is a plus. Training will be provided. One year commitment required. You must have your own transportation. 

Duties include: assisting client with physical exercise, various table top activities (art, LEGO, etc.), meal preperation, cooking and helping with feeding, and light housekeeping.

Qualifications: energetic, enthusiastic, and creative with strong play skills. Strong communication skills. Background in a related field is an asset (e.g., psychology, education, speech & language pathology). Experience working with children is an asset. Minimum 19 years of age. Clear criminal record check completed within the last 12 months. Minimum of 1 year commitment.

Hours:

Three sessions a week (3 hour duration) on Mondays (between 9am- 5pm), Wednesdays (between 9am- 2pm), and Fridays (between 9am- 2pm).

Description:

Looking for a reliable, compassionate and eager BI to work with a student with ASD and impaired vision. Prior experience as a BI, EA, teacher or related experience is an asset, but not necessary. We are mostly looking for a good fit and eagerness to learn. We are happy to train and provide ongoing professional development support to the right candidate. In this position you would be teaching self-management/life skills, social skills, emotion regulation skills and individualized academic curriculum. The student is very talkative, loves music, Star Wars, and accents, among many other things! This is a very unique opportunity to work in a large, collaborative, multi-disciplinary team. A great opportunity for individuals looking to enhance their skills working with students with complex needs.

Looking for a BI to work with our sweet, fun, and curious non-verbal 3.5- year-old son. Programs will be play-based with a focus on communication, social skills, and play skills. ABA experience is not necessary but is an asset.

The team will be supervised by RASP-Certified BCBA, Shaheen Bhagudi, and Junior Behaviour Consultant, Hollie Tsui. Any necessary training will be provided by the team.

Description:

We are seeking a behavior interventionist to join a home-based ABA team for an 8-year-old boy on the autism spectrum. Sessions will focus on social skills, emotion regulation, and executive functioning skills.

No experience is required as all training will be provided. Applicants must have reliable transportation to and from the client’s home, provide a one-year commitment, and a clear criminal record check.

North Burnaby (Burnaby Heights)/ East Vancouver

Hours & Wage:

Flexible hours, 2-3hr sessions. Flexible number of hours/session per week, and number of clients supported. Wages are between $20-$30/hr dependent on experience. 

Description:

Looking for tutors or behaviour interventionists to support young children with behavioural, academic, mental health, and or social supports.  These programs consist of many mental health related goals and are supervised by a clinical counsellor and behaviour analyst. This is a great work experience for those interested in careers in Mental Health, OT, PT, Medicine and Psychology. Multiple families are looking within the same neighbourhood so the number of hours desired is very flexible and convenient with busy school schedules.
